Norton Brook now uses Heidi Health to help us write our clinical notes. This means we can spend more of our time with you and less time writing our notes after we have seen you. It also means we can spend more time focussing on you and not our computer.
Heidi works by listening to our consultation and converts this into a written transcript in real time. It will then turn the transcript into suggested medical notes. Your doctor can choose to accept these, edit them or not use them. It will not be diagnosing your problems or telling the GP what to do, just helping reduce our admin.
Heidi does not record the conversation audio and the transcript is automatically deleted in line with our practice privacy policies. Before it is automatically deleted it is only saved on UK servers. The link below has more information on Heidi’s security and it is now widely used across the NHS.
It is currently only being used by our GPs and they will ask your permission at the beginning of your consultation. If you have any questions just ask your GP when seeing them or you can see more information below and on the posters in our waiting room.
